Sunday, June 4, 2023 – Today's message is "The Practicality of the Holy Spirit Baptism." We live in the "Church age," – which by definition is post-Pentecost, meaning after Jesus ascended, God sent the Holy Spirit to be with men, to be His active agent on earth. We will discover today that as a person diligently seeks the Holy Spirit with all of his heart, Jesus promises to fill and Baptize with the power of the Holy Spirit. Admittedly many struggle with this, possibly because too much focus is on the manifestation of the Holy Spirit's gifts rather than emphasizing seeking a relationship with God – the Giver of the gifts. We need to focus on the presence and relationship with the Holy Spirit with an open heart and be ready to receive all that God's Holy Spirit desires to give. It's not as complicated as we make it out to be, and we certainly should not have any fear or angst in seeking the power of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as was on the Day of Pentecost. It was the norm of the early Church and should be for us as well today. Worship and study with us.
