Assiduous - [uh-sij-oo-uhs] Showing great care, attention, and effort; diligent and persistent.

Proverbs 13:4 — The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied.

Practice: Identify an area where you could be more assiduous. It could be listening more carefully when others speak, focusing more on your diet and exercise, or spending more time praying and reflecting. Commit to improving in this area, and make a deliberate, diligent effort.

Prayer: Lord, I ask your guidance in becoming more assiduous in _______ (mention the specific area). Help me display diligence and dedication in this part of my life. May my persistent efforts reflect your work in me and bring honor to your name. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Innocence - [in-uh-suhns] The state or quality of being innocent; freedom from sin, moral wrong, or guilt.

Psalm 51:10–12 — [10] Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. [11] Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. [12] Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.

Practice: Each day, take a few moments to confess your sins to God, asking for His forgiveness and a clean heart. This act of repentance can help cultivate a spirit of innocence and purity.

Prayer: God, help me to pursue innocence and purity in my thoughts, words, and actions today.  In Jesus' name, amen.
