The Pragmatic Doulas

This week The Doulas discuss prenatal classes.  Various themed classes are examined and they discuss whether taking one at all is even necessary.  And given two of The Doulas are prenatal educators, well you can guess what the answer is.  Its yes, prenatal classes are necessary.

This week The Doulas just can't with it all.  We rant about the lack of support from doulas in FaceBook groups, how doulas can be the least supportive to other doulas, how birth is a spectrum or a journey with detours and a flow and being absolute in what you think about birth is limiting, dismissive and dangerous to the experiences of birthing parents.

Whats your woo? Do you practice woo? What the heck is woo? 

After an impassioned discussion on covid and the current restrictions The Doulas discuss what they call the woo factor.  It can range from crystals to saint medals, from meditation to prayer.  So what's your woo?
