Cs: V srdci Prahy, na rohu staré ulice, se nacházelo malé policejní oddělení.
En: In the heart of Praha, on the corner of an old street, there was a small police station.
Cs: Bylo brzké zimní ráno na Nový rok, a vzduch venku kousal do tváří.
En: It was an early winter morning on New Year's Day, and the air outside bit at their cheeks.
Cs: Nahoře na stolech, ve vnitř inkoupení místnosti, byly stohy papírů.
En: On the tables inside the cramped room were stacks of papers.
Cs: Telefon zvonil a lidé procházeli sem a tam.
En: The phone rang, and people wandered back and forth.
Cs: Lucie a Vojtěch stáli zkřehlí, sčítající odvahu, zatímco čekali na svou řadu.
En: Lucie and Vojtěch stood frozen, gathering courage as they waited for their turn.
