The disciples of Jesus watched his prayer life and asked him to show him how to pray.This is the only thing the asked Jesus to show them how to do. They didn’t ask him how to heal, how to teach, of to lead, they simply asked him how to pray b/c they were convinced, if they could learn to pray that way, they would do what he did. This is a message that almost encompasses prayer 101. Jesus shows them topics, order, and the heart posture present when we talk to God.
