Growing up in faith starts with knowing who you are. In Ephesians 1, Paul shows us that our identity is rooted in what God has already done: He has chosen us, adopted us, redeemed us, and sealed us with His Spirit. That identity gives us security, shapes how we strengthen one another, and sends us into the world with purpose.

This Sunday, as we celebrate Family Commissioning, we’ll look at Jesus’ parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14–30 and be reminded that everything we have—including our children, gifts, opportunities, and responsibilities—has been entrusted to us by God. Because God knows us and graciously gives according to our ability, our calling is not to compare what we’ve been given with what someone else has received, but to faithfully steward what belongs to Him. Whether as parents, students, or members of the church family, we all have a role to play in faithfully investing what God has entrusted to us for the sake of His kingdom. Ultimately, our faithfulness isn’t about our success or our glory, but about the joy of our Master.

Lust takes God’s good gift of desire and twists it into consumption, turning people made to be loved into objects to be used. In Matthew 5, Jesus names what we have learned to excuse, unmasks the addiction and shame lust produces, and invites us into healing through confession, community, courage, and a heart made new by grace.

In week three of Silent Killers, we look at greed as a hidden force that can quietly hollow out the heart while convincing us we are completely fine. In Matthew 6, Jesus shows us that every treasure has a destination, every destination requires intentional decisions, and ultimately our money reveals what has our devotion. The good news is that when we encounter the grace of Jesus, greed can lose its grip and generosity can become a joyful way of life.

Busyness becomes a silent killer when the pace of our lives makes us unavailable to God and unavailable to the people He has placed around us. Jesus lived a remarkably full life without living a hurried one, showing us how to resist the pressure of expectations, embrace interruptions, and stay attentive to the Father’s agenda. When our hearts are captured by a greater love for Jesus and His kingdom, we can slow down enough to see people, respond with compassion, and live sent into the harvest.

Kicking off our series, Silent Killers, we explore how fear quietly keeps us from living out God's mission. Looking at Abraham's journey in Genesis 12–15, we see that fear leads us to trust our own provision, protection, and power instead of God's promises. Through His covenant with Abraham—and ultimately through Christ—God reminds us that His faithfulness is greater than our fears, freeing us to live boldly as laborers in His harvest.

The home is the primary space for disciple making and the launchpad for multiplication. Whether married, single, raising children, or supporting other families, God invites each of us to make His love visible through ordinary moments. Start now by creating margin that turns everyday rhythms into opportunities to follow Jesus together.

Christianity is not merely a label we claim or a list of beliefs we acknowledge. It is receiving the good news that Jesus Christ died for our sins, rose from the grave, and now offers grace and new life to everyone who trusts Him. The Christ we confess should produce a transformed life, grounded in truth and committed to sharing His grace with others.

Is God really good? Behind that question are countless others: Why is there so much suffering? Why do bad things happen? And can God really be trusted? This week we'll journey from creation to the cross and the resurrection to see that God's goodness isn't defined by our circumstances but by His unchanging nature. As we discover His original design, His redeeming love, and His promise of restoration, we'll be challenged to trust Him—even when we don't have every answer.

In 2 Samuel 7, David wants to build a house for God, but God reminds him that the Kingdom has never depended on what we build for Him. The Kingdom of God is something He builds by grace and invites us to join by faith. As we conclude Kings and Kingdoms, we are challenged to stop admiring God’s Kingdom from a distance and respond with confession, worship, surrender, and faithful obedience.
