Sitting in a jail cell in 2007, Ian Barnett aka ASAP Preach heard the voice of the Holy Spirit tell him to pick up a Bible. As he read the scriptures, Ian gave his life to Christ. His radical conversion transformed his love for hip-hop into a powerful tool for presenting the Gospel. Ian writes and produces Christian Hip Hop(CHH) music under the artist name ASAP Preach and resides in Abilene Texas with his wife plus four children!

ASAP Preach works overtime traveling in country performing, preaching and sharing the Gospel of Christ. He also owns and operates an independent production company "Lowlight Filmz" and has collaborated with legendary CHH artists like Thi’sl, Reconcile and Bryan Trejo. ASAP volunteers his time feeding and ministering to homeless people in his community. His music is a fan-favorite on PRAZOR’s hip-hop channel.

On today's episode of The PRAZOR House Brandon and Mike speak with Josh White of Door of Hope!

Josh began his journey in the Seattle grunge band Manray. After coming to Christ, he began leading worship and met Brandon Ebel (Tooth and Nail Records founder). Together they formed the Christian band Telecast. This led to releasing three albums and found success in the contemporary Christian music charts while touring with bands like David Crowder.

Josh would eventually launch into a solar career while founding Door of Hope church in the Hawthorne district of Portland, Oregon. The church grew rapidly in one of the most unchurched cities in America. As new converts joined the church, Josh and the leadership recognized a large influx of music artists. Eventually, Josh would co-found Deeper Well Records with his worship leader, Evan Way. Door of Hope has been the church home for artists like Josh Garrels, Liz Vice, Holly Ann, Tim Mackie (The Bible Project), Eric Earley (Blitzen Trapper), and many more.

Andrea has been involved in worship ministry nearly all of her life. In 2010, she started a unique 1:1 mentorship program for young worship leaders. As local churches began reaching out for training, the Lord expanded her field of vision. With family in tow, she began touring the midwest and serving the local church. In the United States, 95% of the churches have less than 500 people in attendance. It was from this soil that the Overflow Worship Conference blossomed.

Andrea launched overflowresource.com with a goal to equip worship teams with practical and useful tools. Many worship leaders have full time jobs and serve their church as a volunteer. The resources Andrea provides will be a blessing to these men and women as they prepare for each week's worship service.

Aaron was introduced to music at an early age. His father had a recording studio in their apartment and his uncle was a Christian rapper. As a child, Aaron would sit in on recording sessions and learn the art of hip hop. By age three, he was rapping and developing a gift that would lead him on a journey of music and faith. Two years later Aaron signed with Gotee Records under the direction of multi-GRAMMY-award winner, TobyMac. In 2019, Aaron won the GMA Dove Award for New Artist of the Year.
