The Pre-Approval is a key element to the Home Buying process.  Getting approved will give you the assurance that your financial documents have been vetted.  In this market you want to make sure your buying power is accurate.  Having the proper tools is a must, too many people try to tour homes without being Pre-Approved.  Never go shopping without it, your Realtor will love you for it. :)
