Next week is Holy Week, the final days of the life of Jesus. Beginning on Sunday with the Triumphal Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, I will be including a little about each day after our daily reading. I pray that it helps you center your heart and mind on what Jesus went through so that you and I can have true and lasting life today.

Judah and Israel’s Kings following Solomon were not some of the most amazing men, however a few good ones did shine. Let’s read about some today in 1 Kings 14-16 and then we’ll read Psalm 98.

1000 wives, killed by a lion, idols upon idols upon idols…this is day 97. Listen to the drama of the people as we read 1 Kings 11-13 and Psalm 97.

The temple gets finished, consecrated and a queen showers King Solomon with lavish gifts. We also read that silver wasn’t used because it’s basically worthless. WHAT?!? Seriously, the Bible is not boring, friends! So join me as we go through 1 Kings 8-10 and Psalm 96.

Today we’re reading all about the building of the temple in 1 Kings 4-7. We also read Psalm 95. There is a whole lot of detail in this passage of reading today. Friends…this recording was rough to get! There was a lot going on in the background. I think I got it the best I could. I hope, anyway! Thanks for your grace!

It’s Day 94 and we’re beginning a new book. Today we read of Solomon’s establishment as king and David’s death. Follow along as we read 1 Kings 1-3 and Psalm 94.

Today we come to the end of another book as we read 2 Samuel 22-24, as well as Psalm 93. We learn about David’s mighty men, another blunder of the King and how David processed his guilt, repentance and accepted responsibility and discipline.
