Love. It's wonderful and confusing and tender and reckless. It can be seen in the smile of a new mom, a proud dad, a bride and groom. But there is no other love that left all the power and comfort of royalty to live like every other human, never making a mistake, who gave their life to pay the penalty for all humanity's sins for all time. Today we celebrate the third week of Advent and although unconventional and out of tradition, we're focusing on love. Listen in for why I put Love here, and what God's love means to all of us.

We are down to the last few books of the Bible. We have just 4 short books and Revelation to finish! Can you believe it? Today we are beginning 1 John and reading chapters 1-2 as well as Psalm 36. The Bible Project has a great overview of 1-3 John. Take the time to watch and learn.

Today we are reading 2 Peter. Yep. All of it. Don't worry...it's just three chapters! We're also going to read Psalm 35.

Today we begin 1 Peter, reading the first two chapters. Take the time to watch/listen to an overview of 1 Peter from The Bible Project. We're also reading Psalm 33.

Today we finish up James and Psalm 32.

It came to my attention that the full bonus episode for the second Sunday of Advent didn't fully load for some reason. Anyone else find the irony in that? We have a real enemy friends! I don't want to give the devil more credit than is due but, we do have a battle that is not against flesh and blood and I believe that the message of peace is a threat to that enemy. But we will not be deterred or shaken! Here we go, trying again! 

Today we begin another book-James. Begin with this video from The Bible Project and then follow along in James 1-3 and Psalm 31.

Today is the second Sunday of Advent and we focus in on PEACE.

Today we are finishing up the book of Hebrews reading chapters 11-13. These are exciting chapters, great reminders of legends in the faith and how they trusted and obeyed God in the midst of hardship and uncertainty. It makes me want to run a lap! We'll also read Psalm 30.
