A beautiful way to start the week with James chapter 5 and the distinction made between those who are wealthy from those who are "rich". There are many around us who have been blessed of the Lord as being wealthy, but that use the blessings God has given to them for the purpose of being a blessing to their communities, their churches, and to the work of the Lord! The flip side to this coin are those who see their wealth as a means of power and consume their wealth in all the "riches" their hearts desire! These are the folks James is going after in this first section today, and if it sounds like He's dealing with you personally, then accept that God knows your heart and repent so that God may be able to forgive you and heal your heart! Welcome to Revelation Friday and the Church at Laodicea! There is much to discuss about the nature of this church that we find within our society and our churches today (as concerning the attitude). The most important comment of Jesus to this church, as well as to us today is, "Be zealous and repent!"
