The Precipice

I had a casual conversation w/Jonas Hershberger who is from the Swartzentruber Amish, which are very, very plain Amish. Jonas and I talk about the Amish differences in Ohio and Lancaster, his faith changes, getting excommunicated, and how he doesn't miss anything, but his horse. He wants to do music now, for a living. Go support him if you like his music. #amish #swarzentruberamish #90scountry

So how does a tiny school pull off an event like this? I don't know. But there's something to it. The community, the unique freedom students get, and the grassroots teaching style our generation is missing. I advocate for this event. Heritage Day is a living history event in Lancaster run by a Pathway Hybrid Learning-where I graduated from.I want to see YOU there. October 17 | 10 AM | 717 Long Ln.More details...https://www.learningatpathways.org/

I debate an Ex-Amish young man who is thinking about returning to the Amish. I, also ex-Amish, take the stance of leaving for good, while he defends the Amish lifestyle. This is ONLY a philsophical discussion, me asking questions and this other young Amish man discussing ideas relating to the Amish doctrine/belief/philosophy. Don't take it as a way forward if you are Amish, don't take it as instructions, only perspective. Leave comments though.Thank you,Marcus Z.

Dave Zimmerman is the State Representative for the 99th district in Pennsylvania. This is his 12th year being State Rep. Dave Zimmerman surprised me by talking about the future, not only the past and the present. He was interested in Gen Z and what we are going to do. Did not see that coming. He also surprised me with his knowledge of history, of William Penn, the scripture on the walls of the capital, the power of Amish and Mennonite communities have over elections, and the recent political division.0:00 Introduction1:33 How Government Works5:56 Political Polarization18:22 Government Overreach35:03 The Abortion Bill Fight1:02:17 Gen Z, Real Food & Freedom

Two high-schoolers discuss what's wrong with their generation-with solutions.

This episode is like a short, bright, and catchy tune that ends too soon. Josie is a senoir in the upcoming highschool year. She has a strogn and unique faith in her generation. She talks about her struggles with social media and her faith.

She deleted all of her social media to focus on God and the scriptures. She loves traveling, making coffee, and cooking. Which by the WAY, she made use matchas for the podcast. I DOWNED that stuff in the first 10 minutes. Yeah, call me a matcha guy, I don't care.

Rise Up Kings becomes more and more convincing as time goes on. Eldon Stoltzfus is a man who has gone through many of the events and helps as a one-on-one performance coach. He volunteers frequently at RUK's events in Dallas and locally. Eldon surprised me with some deep stuff. Daniel Beiler is not a regular missionary. He travels through warzones with his 5 kids, in the most dangerous places on earth, with no weapon except Christ.

His experiences with mental sickness, suicide, demons, war and death, have led him to be a powerful speaker with authority that only experience can give a person.

He is involved with Light of Hope Ministries, EMT services in West Virginia, and travels through warzones with his family and 5 kids.

The most robust and forthright conversation I've had on the podcast.

Wes talked with me about 18 years of undiagnosed PTSD, addictions he carried since age 6, a stillborn son, Hurricane Katrina extending his deployment, and the moment at 2am in a hospital — while plunging a toilet — that a stranger in an Army jacket changed the entire direction of his life.Wes Bly served with the U.S. Navy Seabees and the Airforce. He has countless stories of combat, loss, and spiritual warfare as big as real life warfare.Instagraminstagram.com/atthe.precipiceFacebookfacebook.com/profile.php?id=61588035720629Spotifyopen.spotify.com/show/6iZ0HZs3tDhNFvK3xVNhfW?si=4c9409502e2b4407TikToktiktok.com/@theprecp1ce?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc

Wanda Swarr, founder of Pathways Hybrid Learning, discussed with me the dark side of education, and how her school, Pathways, is fixing it.

She describes how God used her and a team of others to build a new way of schooling from the ground up.

She also touches on how God interfered with her life to get her there.I started as a student the beginning of Pathway's launch, in 2018. Now I am very close to graduating as this video is released. The school has changed my life *Path for the better. This podcast comes from what we call "PIP" projects.

Eric Smith and I went deep...and controversial. This one might offend some people.

Gender Roles, Manhood, Why God allows suffering, what the book of Job really means, the Government trying to Demolish the Family, and most importantly...how I can find a wife!

Interaction encouraged!
