Day 249 | Ezekiel 47:1–48:35; Ezekiel 29:17–30:19; 2 Kings 25:27-30; Jeremiah 52:31-34

Ezekiel is shown a vision of a river flowing from the temple of God, growing deeper as it goes and bringing life wherever it touches—even turning the Dead Sea fresh and full of fish. This river is a picture of the life and healing that flow from God’s presence. As His Spirit dwells within His people, we are called to overflow with His life to those around us. The reading also reminds us that the Lord is sovereign over every kingdom, using even great nations like Babylon and Egypt to accomplish His purposes.
