A new poll from Gallup found that national pride in the U.S. has fallen sharply and is increasingly divided along political lines. Only 53% of Americans said they are “extremely” or “very” proud to be American, with Republicans reporting much higher levels of pride than Democrats and independents. The survey also found that younger Americans are significantly less likely than older generations to express strong national pride, highlighting a growing generational divide alongside the political one.
