Massachusetts is facing a significant clinician crisis, with an ongoing loss of primary care physicians and behavioral health providers. Physicians over the age of 65 are increasing as new doctors entering the field are decreasing. Add that to other factors like burnout, hospital staffing pressures, and low reimbursement rates from insurers, and you can see why Massachusetts has a doctor dilemma.
