John 1:14
14 The Word was made flesh, and DWELT among Us and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father
- 2000 years ago, God Almighty put on flesh and came in to our world, as a baby in a manger in the town of Bethlehem. He grew up living a sinless life, He taught the greatest things ever spoken, performed miracles and died on a cross for you and me.
- An accurate translation of the word DWELT is “tented or tabernacled.”
14 And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, INCARNATE) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived) among us; and we saw His glory…such glory as an only begotten son receives from his father….AMP
- The Glory of God “tabernacled” among us in the body of Jesus. Through His consummation of the Father's great plan of redemption in our new birth, He becomes, "Christ in you, the hope of glory"
- (Col. 1:27).
Isaiah 9:6, 7

Isaiah 7:13, 14 The prophet Isaiah—looking down through time some 750 years, points out that a virgin from the house of David would give birth
14 Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign, Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel (INCARNATE)
Matthew 1:23 We see this repeated in Matthew’s account…
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel (literally “God Became One Of Us”)
INCARNATION: One person with two natures.
- He did this without ever ceasing to be God. The Greek tells us that Jesus “emptied or limited” Himself when He came in the likeness of man
Philippians 2:6-8 He made Himself of no reputation
- God always had a plan—a plan that would bring Redemption Galatians 4:4-7
- Because He came, we have Peace with God and Total Victory on Earth—we NOT ONLY have the Promise of Eternity but also the Promise of the Life that NOW IS
- 1 Timothy 4:8
Romans 15:13 Paul says…
13 May the God of Hope fill you with Joy and Peace In Believing, that you may Abound in Hope through the Power of the Holy Ghost
