With so much out of your control, it can be good to have traditions and rituals that you can hold on to no matter what's going on.
So here it is, my covid-proof holiday tradition.
Burning Bowl.
Burning Bowl is a ritual that you can use to bring awareness the unhelpful shit that is no longer serving you. The unhelpful thoughts you have, the unhelpful habits, the unhelpful beliefs. I'm talking about whatever it is that holds you back and is within your control.
Here are the basics:
You grab a piece of paper and write down all the stuff you want to release and not bring with you into the next year.
Then you burn that piece of paper. Simple as that.
The big caveat, you gotta focus on stuff that is within your control.
In other words, COVID can't be on that list. That's not within your control. let me help you out with a couple of examples from my burn page for this year:
:: zoning out instead of resting
:: stopping what works
:: jiggle
So, you write it all down and burn that piece of paper. In an open space with plenty of ventilation and fire retardants nearby!
Simple as that.
To help you out, I've created a free guide for you that covers the What, Why, When, Who, Where, and How of the burning bowl ritual.
https://elise-enriquez.mykajabi.com/burning-bowl
Now, I've got a question for you, that's right, it's time for the question of week...What is the ONE limiting belief you won't bring with you into the new year?
If you listen to this week's episode and it makes you think of someone who might enjoy the burning bowl ritual, please send them a quick email/text/dm with a link to the episode and a little message like "I thought you might like this."

“So this is when looking back, checking that rearview mirror, can be helpful. When you do this, you get to learn what you absolutely hated about the last year, you get to learn what you've loved. You can see what went well and acknowledge what didn't go so well. And all of this is useful in planning for the year to come. You get to take what you love and what went well, and think about how to build on those things.” - Elise Enriquez
Welcome to the Productivity Breakthrough Podcast with Elise Enriquez. Here’s a question, how good are you at looking back? In this episode, we talk about moving forward with intention and what to do when planning for the future looks like making sense of a dark void.

“It's interesting how people think they shouldn't need what they need in order to be productive.” - Elise Enriquez
Welcome to the Productivity Breakthrough Podcast with Elise Enriquez. Today’s topic is straightforward: Give yourself what you need. Sounds simple enough right? Well, let’s talk about why almost everyone finds it so complicated and what you need to do to move forward in life and business.

“Let that To-Do list support you, not control you. It should support your purpose, your vision, and your goals. That way you can move forward with what matters most to you, so you can be more productive.” - Elise Enriquez
Welcome to the Productivity Breakthrough Podcast with Elise Enriquez. Today I tackle probably the most common productivity myth, that productivity means getting everything done. For a lot of people, they define productivity as checking everything off their long to-do list. The sad truth is that entropy is knocking at all our doors and our lists will never stay clear.
[00:00 - 01:17] Do You Want Your Own Bonus Brain?
[01:18 - 03:15] Productivity is Getting More of What Matters Done
[03:16 - 06:18] Stop Being Busy and Start Being Productive
[06:19 - 07:15] Question of The Week
Key Quotes:
“When I finally stopped being busy and started being productive, it changed everything.” - Elise Enriquez

“Just because you can do anything doesn't mean you can do everything. Taking on the attitude of being able to do anything can lead to stacking your plate too full. And soon, you have too much to do, and you don't have enough time.” - Elise Enriquez
Welcome to the Productivity Breakthrough Podcast with Elise Enriquez. Today I tackle another productivity myth, “I have too much to do and not enough time to do it.” This limiting belief is such a tricky one because it's definitely not a helpful thought, but it happens to be true. Let’s dive into why you shouldn’t do everything, even if you can do anything.
[00:00 - 01:28] Do You Want Your Own Bonus Brain?
[01:29 - 04:56] Just Because You Can Do Anything Doesn’t Mean You Should Do Everything
[04:56 - 06:19] So What Do You Do?
[06:20 - 07:36] Question of The Week
Key Quotes:
“If ‘I don't have enough time,’ Is the myth, then the truth that's more helpful is that anxiety comes from not knowing what's not getting done.” - Elise Enriquez
“You have to get it all into one place, into a system. I call mine my Bonus Brain, but it can just be a list on a piece of paper or in a spreadsheet. So that way you can see what you truly have on your plate, how much time you have, you can see all the commitments, all the projects. Then you can consciously and intentionally decide how to allocate your time and you can prioritize what matters most to you right now.” - Elise Enriquez

“When people believe in this myth, they tend to believe something is wrong with them. This usually leads them to doubt themselves, like there's something missing, and then think that they can't do this. And then they tend to become hopeless like they have no capacity to impact things in their life for the better.” - Elise Enriquez
Welcome to the Productivity Breakthrough Podcast with Elise Enriquez. Today we cover a very common but very unhelpful and even harmful productivity belief. We get to the root of the belief and instead of trying to solve it, we find a different perspective altogether.

“Productivity is the art of maintaining presence, while still moving forward what matters most.” - Elise Enriquez
Welcome to the Productivity Breakthrough Podcast with Elise Enriquez. Have you ever thought of budgeting your time? Time is the most valuable resource we have because it’s the only thing we can never get back. Time means so much, and with it, we can do so much. How do we make the most of this precious asset?
Today we talk about creating a system for your time so that you can examine your time-expenditure and make adjustments, save and invest your time into the right things, always at peace in the present.
[00:00 - 04:09] Have You Heard of The App You Need a Budget?
[04:10 - 06:38] Have a Budget for Your Time
[06:39 - 07:57] Question of The Week
Key Quotes:
“While a lot of people will say that time is money, I say that time is so much more than money. Time is relationships, goals accomplished, milestones reached, a great meal with friends, time is having an impact in the world.” - Elise Enriquez
“And so just like you have a bank account where you can see your balance, you can have a way to look at your time more clearly. Just like you can look at your day-to-day purchases and make changes, you can look at how you're spending your time and make adjustments. And just like you can save up money for future purchases, you can set aside time for what matters most.” - Elise Enriquez
