Ali shares the up's and down's of that journey and how it shaped her into the incredibly gifted and caring person that she is today. About our guest:
Ali Rothrock is a speaker, author, educator and advocate who has delivered over 500 presentations nationwide. Rothrock has been in the volunteer fire service since 2005, enjoying more than a decade as a firefighter and EMT. She is the CEO and Lead Instructor for On the Job and Off, an online platform dedicated to building more resilient first responders.
Rothrock is the author of Where Hope Lives, a memoir detailing her journey through her first few years in the fire service. She is currently writing her second book After, which details her story of trauma recovery while featuring other’s stories too.
A Certified Trauma Responder through the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists, she has worked as a sexual assault and domestic violence counselor and has served on multiple national diversity and inclusion committees. She is also the eastern division trustee for Women in Fire.

Chief Brian Soller has been a volunteer firefighter for 30 years. Brian is currently Chief of the Rock Hill Fire Department (100% Volunteer / Sullivan County, NY) and a Past Chief of the Monticello Fire Department (Combination / Sullivan County, NY). Brian is a Nationally Certified Level II Fire Instructor as well a Nationally Certified Fire Officer. He has been instructing firefighters of all levels for the past 17 years. Brian is also a long time NYS Emergency Medical Technician as well as an Advanced Swift Water Technician. Brian's passion lies in the promotion of professionalism in the volunteer fire service.
