  • Late Night with Robert

Strap in for a great episode with an old friend. Robert and I knew each other in High School and lost touch over the years. We recently reconnected and I found out he went from active duty Army to being an Army Spouse. We went a little long chatting about old friends and how the paths of our lives changed after leaving a small town in South West Louisiana. Listen as Robert describes using his leadership skills learned in the Army and turned those into successfully working as a Project Manager and Restaurant Manager!

  • Drinks with Danielle
To say I was excited to have this conversation with Danielle would be an understatement. Danielle and I connected on TikTok just when the World began to shut down. We quickly became social media friends and it didn't take long for us to be become actual friends.
What I was excited about was hearing her story about being a Military Spouse. For a few reasons, 1: Her husband is a Marine and I haven't had this conversation with any Marine Corps Spouses yet. 2: She advocated for her husband to get the medical assistance he needed after leaving the Marine Corps. 3. Shes an amazing person and I could talk to her for hours about pretty much anything.
Yes the title is Drinks with Danielle, we met on the Bourbon side of TikTok so we talk a little Whiskey and even a little about Cigars.
Stick around for this one, you won't regret it.
Danielle can be found on TikTok and Instagram as @usmcbourbonwife

WOW! We are done with the actual moving part of our PCS. Now comes the getting settled in a new place, getting everything out of boxes, and finding moving stickers...for the next forever. Moving never gets easier, we just cope better I think. That said we learned a lot with this move. Our girls are older and things aren't as easy when you're young and having to leave friends behind. We are all doing the best we can and trying to get settled as quickly as possible. Hope yall are ready for the next part of our journey!

  • Being able to pivot

Identity is important to many people for many reasons. Many of us spend a large portion of our lives trying to become really good at a "thing". That thing being a career, hobby, etc... What happens when life or job circumstances change and you can't do that "thing" anymore? Being able to pivot into something new and different can be difficult, even scary; but necessary if you don't want to find yourself stuck with no direction.
