Jude begins to bring his treatise to a finale by saying that Enoch prophesied about the days of the coming of the LORD and how that God would judge those that threatened the faith. With that expectation, his exhortation to CONTEND for the faith has more energy both on his part and those that hear and obey it. You could say Enoch was blowing his trumpet of warning, instruction and announcement!

Wow. That is a strong statement. But in order to contend for the FAITH we must know how the LORD wants us to wield our WORD Swords!
