Not since the scandals of famous televangelists like Jim Bakker, Jimmy Swaggart, and a host of other lesser names in the 1980’s, have the credibility of Pentecostals and Charismatic churches come under a greater barrage of criticism and scrutiny than with the recent failed prophecies of Donald Trump’s re-election. The whole prophetic movement has come under great scrutiny and prophets are no longer trusted as before. How do we handle the thorny issue of prophets when their prophecies don’t come to pass?
