The Story:

I previously read this story as an ebook and part of "The Plus One Chronicle" Boxed Set. So last time I got the whole story at one. This however is just the first part and does an awesome job of whetting your appetite. In this installment we meet Kat and Sloan.

Kat is the daughter of a rich and well educated family. They tend to look down on her because she doesn't follow the family dream of working at their drug company and creating new medicines. Instead she would rather own and work at her bakery. They are also extremely protective of her after she was involved in a mugging gone wrong 5 yrs ago leaving her with a bum leg and incomplete memories of the attack.

Sloan is an ex UFC fighter turned billionaire from his chain of SLAM fitness gyms. He doesn't do relationships he does "Plus One" agreements. So he propositions Kat. With her agreement to be his plus one at his many business functions and of course sex on the side he will teach her to defend herself.

Kat wants nothing more than to become a stronger person able to stand on her own two feet so this appeals to her. Then she starts having snippets of flashbacks from her mugging which brings her ex boyfriends involvement into question, but SLoan can't help but be there to protect her.

The Narration:

Ok all I can say about the narration is Mr Hudson has one dreamy voice! I wasn't sure if I would like him with so much of the story being in Kat's voice but he did a great job with her, and when he was talking for Sloan I just wanted to melt !!

My Thoughts:

I really loved this audio book. I liked the story to begin with after reading it previously but adding the narration just heightens the enjoyment !!

Great read

This book draws you into to both Kat and Sloan so completely. You will find yourself waiting to read the entire series to find out happens next to these two "broken" souls

Just The First Installment

This is just the first part of a serial. Its delicious and like an appetizer but you're going to want the full meal. So be ready to purchase the next audiobook. Sloan and Kat are a sexy couple, and the narration only highlights that. I recommend this series on audio. It's a delicious listen.
