The Consumer Data Right (CDR) started in open banking in 2020, then moved into open energy in 2022, and non-bank lending will be next.
Currently, customers can choose to share their banking and energy data with accredited third party data recipients. Data sharing is governed by consent-driven rules and happens automatically and electronically via secure APIs.
As June is CDR Month, The Proptech Panel featured four expert guests:
Tim Poskitt, Envestnet | Yodlee
Adam Vidal, Basiq
Neil McVeigh, Greener, and
Ross Sharman, Accurassi
who explained how the real estate sector can benefit from CDR data sharing and answer questions such as:
What data is available through CDR?
How can proptechs access it?
What use cases are supported?
Can CDR accelerate the journey to net zero?
Where is CDR heading in the future?
