The end of the semester has arrived, which means it's time to close off season 14 of The Prospector Podcast. This year, the podcast turned 11 years old! We celebrated the love for our show by hosting various members from the staff, special guests including athletic director Jim Senter, and we end off the season by talking to former World Cup referee  and El Paso native, Jair Marrufo.
 
With the World Cup just weeks away, Marrufo talks about what it's like officiating on the world's biggest stage, and discusses recent developments made in the game of soccer.
 
Before Marrufo takes center stage though, we pick up on student media and publication's two graduating seniors, Sofia Sierra and Fred Kepfield! They discuss their journey through college and journalism, reminisce about their favorite moments, and even create new ones in this final episode!
 
Then, Warner Brothers ambassador at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) joins us to discuss the development of the program and future events on the horizon!

Athletics at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) has recently been under the limelight as the Miners' move to the Mountain West Conference nears. 
 
Questions over programs like football and basketball have caused discourse about the state of the program before making the drastic shift. The Prospector Podcast discussed these topics including ticket prices and Name Image and Likeness (NIL) in an exclusive interview with Athletic Director Jim Senter!

March is National Women’s history month, episode three of The Prospector Podcast puts the spotlight on women in journalism!

Golf player and MinerVision sideline reporter Paige Wood joins the podcast and discusses her journey in sports as both an athlete and a broadcaster. 

Then, Sofia Sierra, EIC of Minero Magazine talks about her journalism career that has included stops at the Dallas Morning News, and previews what’s to come for Minero. 

Finally, the head honcho at The Prospector, Ximena Cordero, talks about why she grew to love journalism and the impact she hopes to leave at the University of Texas at El Paso.

It has been one full calendar year since The Prospector Podcast saw the introduction of a new staff, so to rewind to the beginning, season 14 picks up on the topic of love, again!
 
In the season debut, the table discusses the first day of school and how to get over semester blues. The Prospector staff and fans of Stranger Things talk about the finale which was not well received. Finally, we learn about alternate ways to celebrate Valentine's Day, such as Galentine's Day!

This Halloween, we present a very special edition of The Prospector Podcast. Our ghost enthusiasts reminisce on trips to haunted places in El Paso. Movie fans discuss the best horror movies, while trying not to scare those with light hearts. 

Finally, the podcast goes on the road, to ask students questions for free candy.

After making its debut last Fall, The Prospector Digest returns to The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) as an alternate episode to season 13 of The Prospector Podcast! 

We head back to the Education Building to host discussions revolving around UTEP’s Fast Track program, the implications of money games in collegiate sports, and finally, we speak to associate athletic director of fan engagement and digital strategy, Jon Washington, over the state of free athletic tickets open to students. Washington speaks on how marketing is adapting to an evolving digital landscape, and teases changes to the student ticketing process.
