Eating is meant to be a pleasure-filled experience. Just as with our sexual experiences, it isn’t meant to be rushed through and paid no mind, no intention. Quite the opposite. Yet, we are so repressed sexually as a society, for so long, that our food systems and eating habits are an external reflection of our own internal repression; magnified by the whole collective.
We’ve taken something so organic, natural, and erotic by existence and repressed it into processed, canned, packaged food that leaves us feeling sick, fat, tired, and depressed. Just like the suppression and repression of our sexuality leaves us feeling disconnected, numb, bored, and unsafe.
We are repressed AS A SOCIETY, as a COLLECTIVE. And the collective repression is reflected COLLECTIVELY in our structures, systems, and experiences.
Not only are we a an interconnected collective, we are also deeply interconnected with all living things, especially the Earth.
I invite you to slow down, bring pleasure into your eating experiences, eat REAL, ALIVE, WHOLE foods and notice how much pleasure they have to offer you. Take it in from start to finish with ALL of your senses. Allow eating to be an EXPERIENCE. Not just a need you have to fulfill.
