Everything, including us, is made of energy.  All of our atoms and the atoms of everything else are constantly banging together and vibrating to a frequency while emitting energetic signals.  These emitted energetic signatures have been measured and documented!  We can also see that energy field around us, known as our aura, with Kirlian photography or even with our own eyes with practice.  It's what our sixth sense always picks up on both for places and for people.

When our energy gets off balance or depleted, issues can arise in both body and mind.  That's where all of the different types of energy therapies can come into play.  One of the most common is Reiki.  Maryann is a Reiki Master in both Usui Shiki Rhoyo and Tibetan Reiki which she'll discuss.  However, there are many different types of Reiki, each with their own frequency and vibration that can help our bodies and minds.  Reflexology is also very popular and very effective.  Other methods she is going to cover including Therapeutic Touch (T-Touch), Quantum Touch, Theta Healing, HeartMath, Polarity Healing, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or tapping) and more.  There are no right or wrong methods, it really is whatever works for the client.  If it resonates with you, that's probably the practictioner you should be looking for.

Maryann will be talking this week about the stories we tell ourselves!  They become what we agree we are and we accept those agreements as our truth, be the agreements positive or negative.  Usually these agreements start with two of the most powerful words in the English language: "I AM."  What we say after these words are what we come to believe about us.  How careful are we with what words we use after I AM?  Staying aware allows us to realize what we tell ourselves and helps us stop the negative I AM statements to replace them with positive statements and agreements.
