Brooke Bennett is a three-time Olympic gold medalist and one of the greatest female swimmers of all time.
Brooke started swimming lessons at the age of 3. By 9 years old she was training for her first Olympic Games. She made her Olympic debut in the 1996 Games winning the gold medal in the 800-meter freestyle at just 16 years old.
In the 2000 Olympic Games, Brooke won two more gold medals in the 400 & 800-meter freestyle. Also setting an Olympic Record in the 800-meter freestyle. She was the second swimmer to ever win the 800-meter freestyle in consecutive Olympic Games.
Her performance in the 2000 Olympic Games earned her World America Swimmer of the Year and even her own Wheaties Box. In total she won 13 U.S. National Championships, medaled in five World Championships (1 gold) and medaled in 10 Pan America/Pan-Pacific Games (7 gold). She has been inducted into numerous Halls of Fame including the International Swimming Hall of Fame (2010), Florida Sports Hall of Fame (2013) and the Boys & Girls Club Hall of Fame (2003).
She has continued competing in open water races around the world, triathlons and one Iron Man. She also teaches youth water safety and serves as a lifeguard. Brooke is currently the Development Manager for the non-profit Clearwater For Youth.
