This week Jemma and Kirk chat about Nintendo's recent Indie World showcase, highlighting several titles that caught our eye. There were so many great titles mentioned, like Papertrail, Quilts + Cats of Calico, Cult of the Lamb, Animal Well, Plate Up!, Little Kitty Big City and, Shadows Over Loathing. Phew! Plus we talk about new amiibo and the excellent and long-awaited Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp.

This week we're joined by special guest Barry Carenza from Premium Edition Games as we discuss everything from Zelda to *NEW* NES titles! Trev, Jem, and Barry dissect the final Tears of the Kingdom trailer, shadow-dropped by Nintendo late last week. We talk about the mysterious Nintendo Live 2023 event due in September, speculating about what it means and what fans can expect. Finally, Barry runs through the latest gems to receive the Premium Edition treatment, from a brand-new NES title called Bobby Six Seven to a Zelda-esque dungeon-maker called Super Dungeon Maker that seems too good to be true. There's also a new Kickstarter to get excited about, plus much more!

The other big news from last week was that Ubisoft pulled out of E3. This resulted in the cancelation of the entire event. Where does this leave us as members of the gaming community? Will the event return? We give our opinions on this shocking news.

Meanwhile, the Super Mario Bros. Movie comes out this week, and we discuss our plans to see the movie as soon as possible. Naturally, we'll be talking about it detail next week! We also delve into the games we're playing, including our final 3DS and Wii U eShop purchases.

Welcome to the latest episode of the Pure Nintendo Podcast! We're ready for another year of fun and games as we navigate 2023! Trev from the Pure Nintendo team joins Jemma this week in Roger's abesence, kicking things off with our usual amiibo update. There are many amiibo coming out this month; will Jemma be able to acquire them all?

We discuss the year ahead and which games we're looking forward to playing. Fire Emblem will be upon us soon, with the latest in the Zelda series coming this May. We also look at other interesting titles ready to hit the Switch in 2023.
