1981 was a year for MTV, Indiana Jones and Super Freaks. Oh, and some people had fake IDs.

1980 was a year for preppy clothes, music from Athens, Ga., and a funny movie about golf. Oh, and a college football national championship.

1979 was a year for the Sony Walkman, Rapper's Delight, and Sci-Fi TV shows. Oh, and a baby doll that ate food and pooped her pants.

1978 was a year for Disco, Grease, JR Ewing. Oh, and a wholesome movie about going to college.

Sid & Marty Krofft are perhaps the most prolific children's television producers of the 1970s. They created shows like HR Pufnstuf, Lidsville, Land of the Lost and The Bugaloos. Oh, and a really cool indoor amusement park in Atlanta.

1977 was a year for big collared shirts, Star Wars and shiny metal braces. Oh, and the evergreen 8-Track Tape.

1976 was a year for America's Bicentennial, the Olympic Games and a very popular poster. Oh, and don't forget powder leisure suits.

1975 was a year for wide-legged hip hugger jeans, a killer shark movie and crazy Saturday morning television. Oh, and everybody was Kung Fu fighting.
