Rest should not be a luxury.  It's important in single parenthood...shoot...parenting period that you're able to get a break and rest (without your kids). There's no reason to feel guilty about needing time to yourself - even married couples spend time apart and you're kids are no different. 

So in Season 1, Maria was on to discuss maternal health and today we're diving a little deeper into the trauma associated with hospital births.  Disclaimer:  this is not every woman's experience but we do share our labor and delivery stories for context and background.  While some women may relate others may find this episode bothersome - we don't apologize for that 🤷🏾‍♀️. I think the formula to success involves some mixture of consistency, self-discipline, and routines! Consistency and Self-discipline are key to building habits and routines help you know what you're dong, what you've done, and what's coming next...simple...right? In this bonisode, I share my ideas on building habits through consistency and self-discipline.  

Black Millennials, it seems that the fate of #blackculture rests solely in our hands.  One of the huge areas of our lives that we are feeling pressure (or at least I am) is in breaking generational curses.  It seems like we're responsible for reversing the damage of previous generations while creating our legacies.  Our list of to-do's before death looking like teaching our kids to be self-aware, protect their mental, and stretch their dollar.  In this episode, a dear friend of mine (@onlyme_marilyn on IG) are speaking on generational curses from our view in the classroom.  Tune in!
