As an award-winning creative and international DJ & top music producer, I invited Mpho (37MPH) to The Purpose Cafe, for a coffee tête-à-tête, to talk about cultivating a sense of creative purpose and to reflect on what defines his intentions and what gives his work meaning, I wanted to find out what shapes his ambitions and determination as a way to inspire other African creatives who have been hard hit (be it financially, spiritually and emotionally) by the pandemic.

Pearl Osa, a Top 25 Mrs. South Africa Finalist, is a true example of possibility, of what IS possible despite everything working against her, everything saying saying “it can’t”. One of her reasons for entering the Mrs. SA pageant was to demonstrate that very possibility, to bring hope, and more importantly, be purposeful for impact through her project 'Inspire a Survivor". That being said this episode might as well be called "Of bathroom hideouts and being a Mom of 10!"... In this episode the Fresh Prince of Purpose, Tehn Diamond and I unpack “The Purpose of Purpose”. Tehn is well known for his lead role in the first Zimbabwean movie on Netflix, called "Cook Off", he is also the founder of one my favourite African movements and projects called "Tisu Ngoda Dzacho", which literally translated from Shona means "We are the diamonds they speak of".
