All the glitters is not gold.  Welcome to the Gilded Age, and era of tremendous wealth, innovation, and giving on the surface and poverty, corruption, and inequality underneath. 

We started the week looking at modern use and misuse of historical symbols of hate and inequality.  We then MOVED onto a mini unit on migrations and understanding the reasons people move.  We finished up by inducing our next unit on the Gilded Age by looking at modern day billionaires.
