David sits down with Head Coach Jonathan Mattox of Morehead State University. The Eagles have had quite the run under former Head Coach Preston Spradlin. David asks Coach Mattox about the pressures of taking over a successful program, the changes for Coach moving up from Assistant to Head Coach, and the forecast for the Eagles this upcoming season. Coach Mattox, who previously served as an assistant coach at Morehead State and Murray State, is now leading the Eagles. He has a strong connection to the program, having been part of the coaching staff during their recent successes. The Eagles are coming off a solid season and are expected to continue their strong performance in the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC). Despite some challenges, including the loss of key players, the team remains a favorite to repeat as OVC champions.

This offseason has seen numerous head coaching shifts within the OVC. David has been actively interviewing these new coaches. In today's session, David meets with EIU Women's Head Coach Marqus McGlothan to explore the current state of Panthers basketball.

David is accompanied by Southeast Missouri State's Head Coach, Briley Palmer. Coach Palmer arrived at SEMO via Mineral Area College. While it's evident that Coach Palmer retains affection for MAC, her allegiance now lies with Cape Girardeau and the Redhawks.
