April is recognized as Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to bring awareness to the impact of abuse on children and families, and to emphasize the importance of safety, support, and early intervention. It is also a reminder of the resilience of those who have endured and the responsibility we share in creating environments where children can feel safe, seen, and protected.
In this episode, Dr. Inna Conboy speaks with Jen Torres. Together they discuss: Jen's journey from traumatic childhood marked by domestic violence to becoming an author and advocate. She discusses her memoir "Colors of Courage, Paving a Path to Freedom", her creative process, and her inspiring message of hope and resilience.
