Segment 1: “Even all the hairs of your head are counted.” (2 segments)
In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus reassures us that we have no reason to be afraid. God know the very number of the hairs on our head, and if even the sparrows are cared for, then we know we will be as well. Rob Corzine joins us to unpack the readings.
Segment 2: Truth First Ministry
Every one of us has been equipped perfectly for a purposeful life. True joy and authenticity come from wholeheartedly living that life. We talk about it with Andrea LaFountain, who shares the work she is doing with Truth First Ministry.
Segment 3: The Gift of Fatherhood
Marcus’ oldest son turns five today – just in time for Father’s Day. Marcus reflects on the gift of Fatherhood.
Segment 1: Treasures in Heaven
In today’s Gospel, Jesus warns us not to store our treasures on earth, but to store them up in Heaven, for were our treasure is our heart will be as well. What treasure occupies our deepest affection? What rival loyalties do we have within us for our devotion? What resentments do we have that remain unsolved? Or what spiritual blindness is clouding the way we live spiritually? Marcus has more.
Segment 2: The Worst Father in the Bible
When we think of fathers in the bible, our minds immediately go to the shining example set by St Joseph. But what about the less than stellar fathers? Steve Ray joins us.
Segment 3: America’s Great Dad Divide (2 segments)
There are some encouraging numbers on fatherhood in America. Recent research shows that dad are spending nearly four times the number of hours their grandfathers spent with their kids, and that parenting time for fathers has been trending upward for decades. In the words of one study, today’s dads are becoming “the parents their fathers never were.” But there is a cloud to this silver lining – a major reason for the change is that fewer men are becoming dads in the first place. Brad Wilcox has more.
“How do I defend the Trinity?” This question leads to a discussion on the eternal subordination of the Son and how to address claims of heresy. Additionally, the episode touches on where the Church Fathers sourced their Hebrew scriptures, the need for ecclesiastical permission in fictional scenarios, and the Catholic perspective on lying.

Prayer of Pope Clement XI
Lord, I believe in you: increase my faith.
I trust in you: strengthen my trust.
I love you: let me love you more and more.
I am sorry for my sins: deepen my sorrow.
I worship you as my first beginning,
I long for you as my last end,
I praise you as my constant helper,
And call on you as my loving protector.
Guide me by your wisdom,
Correct me with your justice,
Comfort me with your mercy,
Protect me with your power.
I offer you, Lord, my thoughts: to be fixed on you;
My words: to have you for their theme;
My actions: to reflect my love for you;
My sufferings: to be endured for your greater glory.
I want to do what you ask of me:
In the way you ask,
For as long as you ask,
Because you ask it.
