Peter Giersch and Bear have a conversation on Michelangelo from Giersch's new book "Talking of Michelangelo". His inspiration for the book came from a retreat he had in France and the topics of the book being death, judgement, Heaven, and hell. The conversation leads into our mortality and how we all will be dead someday. Peter explains that nothing else matters but how you treat others, how well you serve the Lord's people. They then talk about the dark night of the soul and why Peter wrote his memoir about his journey with the Lord and the Catholic Church. He explains how many people bounce out of organized religion when it gets hard.Full Episodes! https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/detai...https://www.bearschoolofmanliness.com/Full Episodes! https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/detai...https://www.bearschoolofmanliness.com/SUBSCRIBE & SHARE BEAR'S VIDEOSWEBSITE DeepAdventure.ComNEWEST BOOK "12 Rules for Manliness | Where Have All the Cowboys Gone" on Amazon or Bear's Online Store https://my-site-100622-104377.square....DONATE TO THE CAUSE: https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_...

Collect prayer for the feast of St. Philip Neri
O God, who never cease to bestow the glory of holiness on the faithful servants you raise up for yourself, graciously grant that the Holy Spirit may kindle in us that fire with which he wonderfully filled the heart of Saint Philip Neri. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.

Dr. Matthew Petrusek
Welcome back to the Word on Fire Show. I’m Matthew Petrusek, senior director of the Word on Fire Institute and the host of the Word on Fire Show. Thank you for joining us. Although not widely reported in legacy media outlets, Christianity is, by far, the most persecuted religion in the world. From the Middle East and Africa to India, China, North Korea, and elsewhere, Christian communities regularly experience widespread humiliation, imprisonment, kidnappings, expulsions, and even murderous mob violence. While not as severe, Christians in parts of Europe and even right here at home, in the US, also often endure discrimination, exclusion, and ridicule. There is no ambiguity about who is carrying out these attacks or what motivates them. Like the martyrs of past centuries, millions of our Christian brothers and sisters are currently suffering because they profess faith in Jesus Christ. In response to this ongoing outrage, Bishop Robert Barron has released a new book called What Do Their Deaths Demand? Christian Persecution Today. Intended for widespread distribution, the book spotlights heartbreaking stories of the continued targeting of Christian communities throughout the world, offers a theological explanation for why Christianity has been under assault since its inception, and, most importantly, provides actionable ideas for what all of us can do to respond. Here to discuss the book—and why its message is more urgent than ever—is Bishop Robert Barron.
