Fast food burritos are the latest controversy to consume social media. A viral post pointing out that a fast food burrito now costs nearly $20 provoked too reactions – people saying you should just cook at home for cheaper, and others saying that the cost of the burrito is one example of how the entire cost of living has gone up. Our tech-dominated world is a world of paradoxes. The internet gives us access to the knowledge of every library on earth, but we lack the wisdom to verify truth. We may own a house, but thanks to mortgages and property taxes we may never truly own it. We have access to more than enough food, but lack basic nutrition. In the eyes of Patrick Moran, we are a nation of technoserfs - neither rich nor poor, neither a lord nor a hermit. He joins us with more.
