Is this a movie, funded by the Irish government, about people wanting to leave Ireland? Well not quite. Take it from young Buddy who so eloquently puts it: "I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE BELFAST!" That's right, we're talking about Kenneth Branagh's semi-autobiographical moving picture, Belfast. But did we want to leave the theater while watching it? Or did the childlike joy of young life keep us going, despite all of the troubles?
