Speakers and panelists discuss "sustainability" and "the sustainable corporation" at this half-day conference cosponsored by Net Impact and the Zicklin Center for Corporate Integrity.

Erik Engquist from Crain's NY Business delivers the opening keynote address, followed by a panel discussion on "The Tension of Short-Term vs. Long-Term in the Sustainable Corporation." Panelists include Consuelo Hitchcock, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu; Steven Lydenberg, KLD, Domini Investments; Kenneth Sylvester, New York City Comptroller's Office; and Ariane Van Buren, CERES. The panel discussion is moderated by Larry Zicklin, Chairman of the Board at Neuberger Berman, Trustee of the Baruch College Fund, Baruch Alumnus, Financier and New York University Professor. The second panel examines the question of how we move current management (and train future managers) to thinking more within the "sustainability" paradigm for the corporation. The second panel includes Ed Hartman, NYU Stern School of Business; Christin Hokenstad, Dalberg Global Development Advisors and Soledad Mills, Cal Safety Compliance Corporation. The panel is moderated by Donald H. Schepers, Professor of Management at Baruch College. Jeff Senne of U.N. Global Compact delivers the luncheon address.
