Fall is here at The Rabbitry Center, and there’s a lot going on! In this episode, we break down some of the best meat rabbit breeds—including New Zealands, Flemish Giants, Florida Whites and several others—and talk about what makes a great production rabbit. I’m also sharing some exciting news: after a little over 90 days of rebuilding, The Rabbitry Center is officially monetized again! We’ll head out to the bee yard to discuss fall feeding, Varroa mites and preparing nine hives for a Michigan winter, then switch gears to deer season with winter wheat food plots, our finished tower blind and ScentLok—fact or hype? In this episode, I explain how I organize rabbit reservations, keep track of customers, and sell my litters without letting people or rabbits fall through the cracks.

As your rabbitry grows, having a simple system becomes extremely important. I share how I keep track of upcoming litters, available rabbits, customer reservations, pickup dates, balances owed, and the people waiting for rabbits.

Then we head outside the rabbitry and talk about some of the other things happening around the Property.

I share our recent honey harvest and the unfortunate experience of getting stung right in the face! We also talk a little about food plots as deer season gets closer and what we’re doing to prepare for fall.

Finally, I give an update on our elevated tower blind build and how that project is coming together.

Rabbits, honey bees, food plots, hunting projects, and building a productive Property—that’s what The Rabbitry Center is all about.
