Luis Pedron was the Co Founder and Programmer of the Soho International Film Festival New York, USA 2010, 2011, Festival Director of the Asians on Film Festival North Hollywood California, USA 2013, Festival Director of the One FILAM Film Festival Hollywood California, USA 2013, Festival Manager of the Viva Latino International Film Festival New York, USA 2015, Jury at the Sundayag Film Festival Philippines 2022. He is also Member of the Jury at the Caorle Independent Film Festival ( Caorle, Venice Area ) Italy 2023 and 2024. He recently was a Jury Member of the NY Portuguese Short Film Festival ( Lincoln Center NYC ) in 2024. In addition he will be a judge at the Apulia Web Fest (Puglia, Italy) on September 2025. Luis Pedron is an award winning short filmmaker. This includes "Receptionist Smart" (co-directed with Mark Levitt ) which won 3 awards and was screened as part of the International Festival of Cinema and Technology World Tour 2004 in NYC, Toronto, Canada and Brisbane Australia. Best Directing award and Best Documentary Video at the NY International Independent Film & Video Festival for his documentary, "VIP Very Important Pinoys" honoring Filipino American seniors in Elmhurst Queens NYC. "Party Games" (co-directed with Mark Levitt) won the Best Director Award - Short at the NYIIFVF 2004. Pedron was a co-producer of the Gerry Balasta Feature Film, "The Solar Champion." Pedron is the Producer for the Sarwar Habib Short film"Made in China " which had an Industry Screening at the Cannes Short Film Corner in 2018. He recently was the Production Manager of the NYC shoot of the Award Winning Filipino Feature Film "Tagpuan" ( Dir: Mac Alejandre). He co-directed and acted in the short film " Waiting Room " about his experience with Depression and Mental Illness as he was taking care of his Father in the ICU. Luis Pedron is proud to be part of the marketing team of the successfully funded Kickstarter campaigns for the films: "The Solar Champion" and "Adventures on the Tabletop: Game Design" Documentary. His latest film credit is as Associate Producer of the Filipino American Documentary “The Road to Sydney” ( Dir: Benito Bautista ), now in the Film Festival circuit. Luis Pedron is a professional Film, TV and Stage Actor and a Member of the Screen Actor Guild / AFTRA (SAGAFTRA) Union He is a proud voting member of the SAG Awards since 1998.
