In 1938 rising star Orson Welles performed a radio adaptation of H.G. Wells' novel 'The War of the Worlds'. The next day the newspapers reported mass panic, riots, and even deaths, but did that really happen? Well, if you read the title then no, but why did they report this? And why do some people still think it did cause a panic?
