This week we head into a trifecta of Survivor Series episodes, beginning with the 1994 edition which features the return match between Undertaker and Yokozuna as they battle in a casket match. In addition to this, Bret Hart defends the WWE Title in a submission match against Bob Backlund where the winner will be decided by which of their corner men throw in the towel first. On top of that, there are 3 Survivor Series matches on the show, with the continuation of Lex Luger's feud with the Million Dollar Corporation highlighted in one, and the continuing issues between Razor Ramon and his nemesis' Shawn Michaels and Diesel in the other.

In the 2nd part of our double header, comparing 2 shows that took place within a week of each other at the height of the Monday Night Wars, we take a look back at WCW's Halloween Havoc 1998. For the show, WCW had lined up a monster line up which included the rematch between Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior, Goldberg defending the World Title opposite Diamond Dallas Page, Bret Hart facing Sting and a collision between former tag partners as Kevin Nash took on Scott Hall.

At the height of the Monday Night War, WWE went into their October pay-per-view with a vacant WWE Title. To fill that vacancy, Vince McMahon had booked a match between Undertaker and Kane with 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin as the special guest referee with the stipulation that if Austin didn't crown one of the Brothers of Destruction the new Champion, he'd be fired from the company. Also on the show, Ken Shamrock would defend the Intercontinental Title against Mankind and The Rock was facing up to former Nation of Domination stablemate, Mark Henry. This episode also features the first matches for both D-Lo Brown and Val Venis to be featured on the pod, so as you might imagine, our hosts are very happy indeed!

With King Booker reigning over Smackdown as World Heavyweight Champion, he rolls into No Mercy with the prospect of a fatal 4-way defence of the belt against Batista, Bobby Lashley and Finley. In an attempt to get an advantage before the bout, he sets his trusty subject William Regal off on a mission to get Finley to join forces with him resulting in Regal getting himself into some ridiculous scrapes and eventually leading to a match with a returning star. When WWE's annual gimmick match pay-per-view, Hell in a Cell rolled around in 2011, we were all still in the midst of the summer of CM Punk. This show takes place just a few short months after the NWO had been formed following Hulk Hogan's infamous heel turn and teaming up with Outsiders, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. With WCW now on a super hot streak and with ratings going through the roof thanks to the super-over New World Order angle, the company presented Fall Brawl which would feature a War Games main event pitting Team NWO vs. Team WCW. In addition, Randy Savage would take on The Giant, The Nasty Boys would go for the Tag Title against Harlem Heat and Rey Mysterio would be defending the Cruiserweight Title opposite Super Calo.

The early NXT Takeover shows that were based out of Full Sail University quickly built up a reputation for being some of the best wrestling shows around. This week, The Random Wrestling Review look back at NXT Takeover: Fatal 4-Way, which featured a main event of Adrian Neville vs. Sami Zayn vs. Tyler Breeze vs. Tyson Kid, a Women's Title match between Charlotte and Bayley and The Ascension putting the NXT Tag Titles on the line versus The Lucha Dragons.

Last Sunday AEW put on the biggest show in their short history and showcased not only the return to the ring of CM Punk after 7 years away, against Darby Allin, but also the debut in AEW of both Adam Cole and Brian Danielson. On the way there was a wrestling show that included the World Title being on the line as Kenny Omega defended against Christian Cage in the main event, a Tag Team title cage match between The Young Bucks and The Lucha Brothers, and the conclusion of the feud between Chris Jericho and MJF.

As WCW continued the build for their annual Halloween Havoc pay-per-view, they stopped on the way for the latest Clash of the Champions special on TBS, for a show that would celebrate 20 years of pro-wrestling on the Network. To mark such an occasion, Andre the Giant, Bruno Sammartino, Dusty Rhodes and many other legends have turned up to watch a big 8-man tag main event featuring Sting, Nikita Koloff and The Steiner Brothers against Jake Roberts, Rick Rude, Big Van Vader and Super Invader.
