Self reliance is the only road to true freedom and being dependent on yourself is the ultimate reward.

Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted. You can't create experience, you need to undergo it; and a lot of times, experience is the hardest kind of teacher. Sometimes setting boundaries can be a difficult conversation to have (especially with those you think highly of and care deeply about). A lot of times, it puts people in an awkward position because their boundaries might not align with yours. I'm here to tell you: that is okay. You set boundaries simply because you respect yourself. When other people set boundaries with you, it's their attempt to continue a relationship with you, not an attempt to hurt you. Boundaries help you grow with one another and helps you prioritize your needs over other people's wants. Remember - the only people who get upset about you setting boundaries, are the ones who were benefiting from you having none.
