Jesus' letter to the church of Philadelphia gives us an example of the kind of church we want to be in anticipation of His return. They are commended for their focus on Him, their willingness to use whatever strength they had for the sake of His Word, and lived in constant readiness for His return.

1. Stay focused on the person of Jesus Christ.

2. This life isn't about us. Use what opportunities God gives you to show His heart to others.

3. In order to anticipate the promises of Jesus, you need to know them.
