Sunday, June 12, 2022 – Today’s message is titled “The Rapture &The 2nd Coming”. It’s obvious by the title what we’re going to be talking about today. I believe it’s very important that we have a hunger and desire for the return of Jesus and not a fear of it. We often avoid topics that are difficult to deal with and possibly understand. For that reason, I feel it’s important to talk about the Rapture and the 2nd Coming and understand what they are and what their purposes are. They are two separate and distinct events that make up the overall “Big Picture” of the return of Jesus. Jesus tells us in scripture that He was going away to prepare a home for us in Heaven and that He was going to come again and take us to be with Him where He is. But what does that look like and when and how will all that happen? These are good questions and as we study God’s Word, we will answer them, but it takes proper discernment and careful study. The timing of the Rapture can be a controversial discussion so we can potentially hold different timing scenarios., yet the important point that we must agree on is that Jesus is coming back to take His Church away and the tribulation is also in the future that will be culminated by the 2nd Coming of Jesus to establish His 1000 year reign. So let’s agree to focus on our relationship with Jesus and be ready for His return and not argue about what isn’t clearly obvious if we don’t hold the same belief on the timing of the Rapture. Are you ready for it no matter when it happens? That’s the question, because, we don’t know how many more heartbeats we have nonetheless. Listen and worship with us, and let’s study together…
