Tell me if you can relate to this, have you went out had a few drinks… maybe a few drinks too many and then you wake up the next morning and your destroyed the whole day when you didn't used to? After a night of drinking did you skip your workout, or cancel plans you have made with somebody or basically sit in your dark man cave and watch TV all night? Then Maybe you thought that it might be time to slow your roll on them drinks cuz it's starting to affect some real stuff in your life. Then this episode should sound familiar to you. A guy in the community asked a question & put it out there that they're struggling with this & were going to talk about it on today's show. And here's his question:
I'm 31. Alcohol wrecks me? Anyone else had to significantly cut back?
I've always had a lower tolerance to alcohol but damn.. I turned 31 this past week. That plus Valentines day and my anniversary of meeting my fiancee led me to drink more than usual.
We (fiancee and I) did dry January and wow. I felt consistently better.
This past week I've felt like shit. Two nights ago we went out and got a beer. Then later got cocktails. The bartender really hooked us up and I was too tipsy to drive for the rest of the night. I couldn't sober up and my fiancee had to drive.
I'm still feeling off.. if I bring this up to older guys they laugh it off. I've worked with dudes who drink several beers a day.
But I've been hearing more people my age experience the same as me. Can we collectively not handle alcohol like past generations?
