We’ve been preaching for years that something needs to change with student loan servicers and now it will. Besty Devos and the Department of Education are moving forward with a massive overhaul of the Federal Loan servicing system for Direct student loans. They have announced the five contract awards as part of their Next Gen FSA vision.
Will these changes be a good thing? We still don’t know but should know more as the Department of Education releases more information. This podcast discusses what the Next Gen FSA vision is, what the changes might mean to you, AND WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO PROTECT YOURSELF.

One of the most common questions we get at FitBUX is “Should I pay off student loans or invest?” This is a complex question because each person’s goals are different and both options have advantages as well as disadvantages.
This Episode discusses 7 steps you need to take in regards to making this critical decision. The first steps 5 steps are for those looking to keep it simple. The last two are for those want to take their plan to a more "advanced" level.
I want to emphasize one point. This video is from a “money efficiency” standpoint. Therefore, I am referring to the approach that is beneficial in the long run purely from a math standpoint. At the end of the day, the best choice is the one you understand, are comfortable with, and will implement.
Many students and new grads are asking how COVID and the CARES Act affect their student loans.
We took a workshop we recently did for the University of Michigan's DPT program and turned it into a podcast. We detail what you need to know as a student or new grad.
We deeper dive into your grace period and how to develop your student loan plan and answer questions such as "does my grace period get extended" as well as "my school postponed my graduation. What happens to my loans?"

I get a lot of questions about trading apps when it comes to stocks and investing. Are you using it to invest, do you understand investing, are you using them for money management? Investing is a full time job and it needs to be something you fully understand before investing in stocks. If you don’t understand investing, which is okay, maybe you should stick to money management. Today I discuss why you should or shouldn’t be using trading apps, tune in to hear more.
