"The Razzcademy Awards" - Episode 95

Listen Later

We love the Oscars and we adore the Razzies, so let's discuss the best of both! This week, our old from friends at Peticolas Brewing Company gave us some great brews to sip on while discussing our favorite wins! Also- apologies for the audio as our board crapped out on us!
THE NEWS BITS WE COVERED TODAY:
JASON VOORHEES STATUE LURKS AT THE BOTTOM OF A MINNESOTA LAKE
We learned about this terrifying real world horror at Bloody Disgusting, and it’s the work of artist Curtis Lahr, who built this nightmarish/fantastic piece, replete with machete in hand, and placed it 120 feet at the bottom of a popular spot for divers in Crosby, Minnesota
After a few years underwater, the Jason statue (and we have to keep reminding ourselves this IS just a statue), is starting to show some wear and tear. But honestly, that just makes him look even more terrifying, like he’s long overdue for a murder spree.
Dwayne Johnson happily accepts Baywatch’s Razzie
While ‘winners’ normally don’t acknowledge the awards, Johnson decided to take the awards head on. Posting to Twitter, the actor began by heaping praise on those friends who were nominated for Oscars.
“I am also excited because I was just informed that I too am bringing home the gold tonight,” he said. “No, not an Oscar — maybe one day — but a Razzie.”

THE SHOWER THOUGHTS WE ENJOYED:
"Scooby Doo teaches us that if a seemingly supernatural event occurs it is most likely some sort of sham perpetrated by an ordinary person trying to achieve their own, usually simplistic ends. They were teaching us to think rationally the whole time!"  - /u/ConfusedRainbow
"There are millions of unopened Taco Bell sauce packets floating around dumps everywhere" - /u/breatharianjoe
"A childs main directive is to kill itself when no one is looking" - /u/xxkevindxx
