    Duties to Family. Men are duty bound to provide the basic necessities of life for their wives and children, including ensuring the family has appropriate shelter, clothing and food, not to mention access to adequate health care.

    Duties to Spouse.

    Duties to Country.

    Genesis 1:26-28

    26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have 1qpdominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.


    Genesis 1:26 announces that God made us in His image and like- ness. The paper examines the connection between the divine image. and likeness. The love that exists between the Father, Son, and Holy.

    The man called Adam was created when God “formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Genesis 2:7). Therefore, Adam was created from the soil, which is actually reflected in his name.

    Having God’s image means we are fashioned to resemble and represent God on the earth. Some Christians like to say we are “imagers of God.” Our likeness with God is not a physical resemblance. Instead, God’s likeness denotes our capacity to rule over creation and be in relationship with God and other humans and to exercise reason, intelligence, speech, moral consciousness, creativity, rationality, and choice. Since the beginning of time, God has desired to bless us and enjoy close fellowship with us, and for this reason He made us like Himself.
